April Meeting Minutes (Jenn L)
-April 2, 2025 meeting minutes were circulated for review on April 17th and approved electronically by 10 people on April 26, 2025
Financial Report (Shiromy)
-Expenses prior to meeting: playground revamp $3900, jersey replacement $2000, cost share for technology $4520 and balance of $2189 went towards gym equipment
-Ending balance of $0

Staff Report (George and Natalie)
-Keith Gattie (artist) came in and worked with kindergarten and donated books
-dental hygienist coming in to speak to kindergarten classes
-Take Me Outside day for kindergarten coming up
-pumpkin decorating contest
-safe school presentation
-emergency preparedness (fire drill, lockdown)
-Terry Fox run
-Truth and reconciliation (Keith Gattie, created a welcome sign out of a paddle as a gift to the school)
-cross country, about 10 kids moving on to regionals
-intermediate volleyball has started
-spirit wear coming soon and grad hoodies
-team uniforms to be delivered in next two weeks
-’feather flag’ for sporting events has been purchased
-new equipment purchased supporting gym safety (safety wraps for volleyball nets)

Feedback:
- BBQ is not financially accessible to some families
- poll staff/families to get some ideas of other more cost effective options
-school board declining in enrollment, just over 600 students at Stonehaven, 25 homerooms and 2 community classes, diverse community, due to changes in immigration policy less enrollment to school this year
